Welcome to the tribute site for the Gods of Mortality. This site was created primarily as a historical memory to the Quake 2 Lithium clan known as clan =GoM= and it's members (some of which actually still exist! ;-)

The original site, including the flash intro was lost some time ago during a hard drive crash and all that remains are the bits and pieces that are contained in the few pages this site is comprised of. All the artwork is original from the "good 'ole days.

=GoM= in it's entirety could never be contained to a web site  as the real =GoM= lives on in the memories of it's members, countless hours of online game play, good times fragging with one another and all those gigabytes of grunt gibs floating  around out there somewhere in cyberspace.

As already mentioned, this web site is more or less being hosted as a virtual record of one of the longest standing Q2 clans around. The clan is still active in its own right only now the remaining members can be found playing any number of different online games. Is a full fledge onslaught reunion in the works anytime soon? Hmmm, only time will tell.

The greatest attribute of clan =GoM= consists of those that wore it's tag. The members, past present and future. Enjoy your tour and feel free to sign up on our forum. Were glad to have you as our guest! And if you see any of our members fragging away, be sure to give them a mighty HAIL! Won't you! and you might just get back a hardy =GoM= IS IN THE HOUSE!!! salute right back!

The above was the  join us "poem" that was a part of our original site. It was a  hybrid between an old rock song and my own goofy imagination. The phrase was at the top of our "join us" page and was meant to give that new cabal member a sense of victory and triumph from GO! };->

Photos explained

The very top picture on this page was the front design for our GoM Pow Wow T-shirts that were made for the clan back in 2001. The design has since served as sort of our clan introduction photo. In the picture you can see the four clan models/skins that we used during online game play. The top model was originally called Baul but renamed to Morbid1 for our purposes and the GoM logo was added. From left to right we have Insanity, Legion and Death all wearing the basic grunt model renamed to =GoM= for our use. The Legion skin also had a version called "war only" for clan matches. You will notice that the middle skin (legion) has a bright yellow "GM" on his chest. The clan tag was originally {GM}, changed later on to =GoM= since there were a lot of other clans with the GM tag already.

The second picture was actually our original index page logo and welcomed everyone to our site once the flash intro ended. It is original with one exception. The clan had a, shall we say "dark" theme and that logo originally had a goat head with a pentagram in the center circle. I changed it to its current form due to some newfound  religious convictions.
